Using isolation, reflection, staggered zoom burst, defocusing, panning, low level light trails. With some lightroom editing tips to enhance the scenes.

Mark Hunter will lead a walking tour/photoshoot in Newcastle giving us hints and tips along the way. Essential kit will include tripods and a mid-range zoom lens. Mark will supply the chocolates to keep the energy levels up.

We will review images taken by members who can explain why they took that image, composition, editing etc. What did they learn from Mark’s presentation and put into practice on the photo walk? With a group discussion on the merits of the images and how (if at all) they could be improved. An opportunity to learn in a safe place with perhaps a new genre of photography; something you haven’t tried before.

Zoom presentation about how to get started in sport photography and provides examples of what works and what doesn’t. The first half sets out the key principles and is illustrated with photographs of football, cricket and basketball. During the second half, he will cover about four or five sports chosen by the Camera Club that are available locally and therefore easily accessible to club members.

A joint effort from some of our favourite members: Nick Lambert will give short presentation on planning a trip to a new area.
Four Members lucky enough to visit Iceland on Photographic trips of Iceland will give a varied view of their images captured. Expect magnificent Landscapes, perhaps an Aurora or two and maybe a geyser.

Members will follow a route around Durham taking images that would grace a Tourism Brochure showing Durham off to its best. Or plan a project inspired by Mark Bradshaw’s talk last year where you are looking for a particular theme. Remember his Apertures with door/window openings in a minimalistic style. Or when he chose Yellow as a theme and the images were only successful as a project and not as single images.

A fun evening with members recruited to show 20 slides with each slide displayed for only 20 seconds. Sometimes 20 seconds is not enough time for the author to describe the image and other times it seems far too long as we wait for the next image to come up. A skill in presenting but don’t let that put you off, come on and volunteer.
