Further to my initial report on the results of the Prints sections, ( now also have full results including scores for the PDI entries.

GCC entered 42 PDIs from 15 members, we won no individual trophies, but achieved an excellent 16 Highly Commended awards. One PDI (not awarded) was Portfolio Selected.  There are no Alliance Selections for PDIs as the InterFederation Championships is for prints only.  Added to the prints results, this brings us to totals of 40 Highly Commended certificates, 11 Alliance Selection certificates and 5 Portfolio Selection certificates which will be presented later in the year at the NCPF Presentations event.

A curious 'Club Competition' is run for each category.  The club selectors can select which 6 images submitted by members in each category they think will score the most points, these are then numbered 1-6 in the entries, and the highest-scoring club on those 6 then receives a trophy.  It is NOT a test of the club members and their images, but rather a test for the club selectors to see who can most accurately predict the scores to be given by the judges. Some clubs with excellent entries by their members are not good at this exercise.  Historically the 'best' club at this guessing game has been Keswick PS whose selectors must be very skilled!  This year Keswick PS won the Myles Audas trophy (for PDIs) and the Corder Trophy (for monochrome prints) outright; but they tied for first place for the Bewick Trophy (for colour prints).......with Gosforth Camera Club! In a strange twist, we were unable to get our team of selectors together just for this exercise, so at the last minute when submitting our entries I made some quick decisions.  Pity that sort of luck doesn't apply for the Eurolottery!

I will produce a bulletin showing the scores of all our entered images and prints for members to find their own results.
