“Nick Lambert will lead a group photo walk in Newcastle City Centre on the morning of Saturday 14 November. We will assemble in the Central Arcade, outside the former Windows music shop, at 10.30am.Depending on numbers we will split into smaller groups to take photos in the following locations:· Around the Central Arcade/Monument· In and around Old Eldon Square· In and around the Grainger MarketThe plan is for each group to spend around 20 minutes on each of the three locations and then to regroup in the Central Arcade between midday and 12.30pm”

“Our own Nick Lambert will present a selection of his own photos from 2026, aiming to provide information and inspiration in preparation for the Club’s photo walk on Saturday 14 November. Starting with images of empty streets, then looking at adding elements such as people, dogs, street musicians, dedicated followers of fashion, smokers and lovers, in locations near and far, Nick will discuss, amongst other things, composition, when to opt for mono, when to major on colours, looking for special viewpoints, and how to present an image which makes an immediate impact but also leaves a lasting impression. He will also talk about getting the subject’s permission and share his own experiences on the images which he has chosen.Nick’s presentation will conclude with a short case study and an outline of the arrangements for the photo walk.”
